Writing first(the setup) and third act(the climax) may be easy. But second act would be difficult.
How to write the middle act(the confrontation)?
- 90 minutes
- Don’t write the whole 90 minutes in a single stretch. Break it down.
- 90 minutes can contain 6 to 9 sequences if each sequence is 15 to 10 minutes long.
- Ex for sequence: Love sequence
- Meeting the girl scene
- Thinking about Proposal scene
- Proposal scene
Structure of a sequence:
- Even sequence should have a structure (setup, middle and end) similar to the 3 act structure.
- In the setup of the each sequence, which is a new conflict in the story, you should introduce the circumstances to the audience.
- Then you should give the ending of the sequence. Most of the time, it will be a negative ending. Because if it is a positive ending, the story would have been end.
