Argument is sound if the conclusion follows from the premises and the premises are true

Sound Arguments:

• Its a valid argument
• The premises are true.

Besides asking whether premises are true, we can ask how certain and obvious they are. Our premises are often educated guesses or personal convictions.

A argument can be unsound in two ways.

1. The conclusion might not follow the premises.
2. It might have false premise
